According to researcher and Apple leaker Unknownz21 (@URedditor), a document they obtained reveals diagrams of the ‌iPhone 15‌'s antenna architecture. It appears that the faster Wi-Fi 6E specification will only be included in the ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro and ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro Max, as the standard ‌iPhone 15‌ models will be using Wi-Fi 6 instead. For reference, D7x refers to the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, and D2y refers to the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus. Additional documents from Unknownz21 confirm that this feature will be exclusive to the Pro models.

Wi-Fi 6E has already been incorporated in some of Apple's products like the ‌iPad Pro‌, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro models, but they have not yet restricted the new Wi-Fi standard to a Pro iPhone. Wi-Fi 6E allows devices to connect to routers and modems that support the Wi-Fi 6E standard, and it provides faster connectivity speeds, lower latency, and increased capacity.

Unknownz21 to Share More Details Ahead of iPhone 15 EVT Stage in March

Unknownz21 has previously shared information on devices like the ‌iPhone 14‌ and an early copy of iOS 14, and they have informed MacRumors that more leaks, including images, will be released when the ‌iPhone 15‌ models move into the Engineering Validation Test stage in March. Additionally, documents obtained by Unknownz21 suggest that the ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro models will feature faster 3nm A17 chips and solid-state volume and power buttons, while the ‌iPhone 15‌ models will continue to use A16 chips and will not feature the redesigned volume buttons.
